Quality, sustainable and affordable housing for agricultural workers families in the State of Washington to improve the livability and prosperity of the communities and people we serve.
Washington Agricultural Families Assistance (WAFA) is a 501(c)3 organization incorporated in 2002 to develop affordable housing and offer homebuyer assistance for agricultural workers families in the rural areas of Washington State.
Qualified first-time homebuyers must earn a minimum amount per year as agricultural workers and be legal residents. WAFA, with its partner organizations, provides down-payment assistance, bi-lingual homeownership education and support to these prospective home buyers throughout the application and financing process.
The bilingual staff remains available for support and education after the transaction closes and the family is in possession of a home. Working with local governments, WAFA fills the needs identified by communities for decent, safe, and affordable housing.
