Recycle

trashladyUnited States is one of world’s largest producers of trash. Trash is produced at an alarming rate of 1,609 pounds of trash per person, per year. Nearly 60 to 70% of waste found in dust bins can be recycled and reused and close to 50% of the same waste can be composted. Start living a green life and conserve resources, conserve energy. Reduce waste, reduce pollution and protect the earth’s ecological balance for our children. RECYCLE!!

‘Waste’ oil is considered hazardous, it contains additives, heavy metals and other impurities that are potentially carcinogenic. Waste oil should be handled with care and disposed of correctly, to ensure the safety of the local community, environment and waterways. ‘Used’ motor oil is considered recyclable.

nopsRecycling is business (profit) driven. Some items while labeled as recyclable are not. This is only due to capability of local processing plants or prohibitive transport costs. New processing technologies are always being developed. The more we recycle the bigger the business of recycling can get and the better for the environment. Check your local guidelines.

ecycleThe rapid growth and the increase in use of computers, cell phones and TVs, and many byproducts such as batteries and ink cartridges, used to end up at the landfill.
