Drinking water comes from different sources, underground (aquifer) and surface water from streams, rivers and lakes, that is stored in reservoirs. The water then goes through a purification process to remove bacterias, yeast, viruses, nitrate and lead. Becoming drinking water, overseen by the EPA with mandatory testing programs. Bottled water is overseen by the FDA, which does not have mandatory testing programs and there is no guarantee that bottled water is safe. Using water filters in the home can effectively and efficiently remove contaminants from your drinking water and give you peace of mind.
Children are exposed to many environmental hazardous substances at home and at school. They are at a greater risk because of their sizes, weight and their bodies that are still developing. Parents can reduce the unnecessary exposure with education and good habits and provide a healthy environment.

Separate raw meat, poultry, seafood and eggs from ready to eat foods. Always cook at the proper temperature and refrigerate foods quickly to keep harmful bacteria from multiplying.
If you work on the farm your work clothes can get pesticides, dirt, dust and fertilizers on them. To wash pesticides off your clothes wear rubber gloves. Pre soak clothes in an outside tub, use strong detergent. Wash at full cycle in very hot water. If possible dry the clothes in an outside line.
